Wedding Styled Shoot at The Paddock Common Farm

Updated: Aug 10, 2021

In this past year when restrictions around weddings have been tight, some of you have taken to the great outdoors to get married and the options to do so are endless, you can marry in your garden, in a field or the beautiful grounds of your favourite wedding venue to name a few places. Therefore, my inspiration for this shoot was getting married in the great outdoors, and what better location then the Paddock at Common Farm, who happily hosted this gorgeous styled shoot that was shot by Julia West Wedding Photography, whose fine art light and airy style of photography suited this shoot perfectly. The colour palette was green, white, ivory and brown, which were reflected in the greens of nature and the whites and ivories of the beautiful floral arrangement and draping on the wooden wedding arch and barrels supplied by Simply Rustic. The lovely wedding dresses which were supplied by Minerva Design and Distribution and the beautiful florals in the wedding bouquet and button hole were supplied by Wallace Floral Co, which also had some greenery to continue the flowing colour theme of the whites and greens. We added a touch of colour in the design elements of the beautiful wedding stationery by Hardings Wedding Stationery. The gorgeous cake was made by Kelly's Cake Boutique Brides, a three tier cake with gold leafing and the same roses from the bridal bouquet.

We decorated the ceremony area with painted gold and mini natural pumpkins and lined the arch with jars adorned with gypshophilia and lanterns that had more gypsophilia flowing out of the lanterns. These are all rustic boho styling elements and work beautifully in a rustic setting. For our lovely model; Yolanda Barreto, hair and makeup, Jemma's Hair and Makeup styled with a fresh makeup look, and a whimsical hair style that worked beautifully for an outdoor wedding, and the gorgeous floral head crown by Lucy of Wallace Floral Co, looks gorgeous and very much a boho style.

Getting married outside is still very much on trend and continues to be, good weather permitting, with more venues licenced to allow outdoor weddings, do check with your chosen venue that they are indeed licenced. Then use the space to create your own style that reflects your personality, the options are endless.
